"We were given the opportunity to go to El Salvador during the summer of 2006. Looking back on this trip I would charaterize our journey as complete dependence on Christ. Because the U.S.A. is full of every kind of convenience, many of us didn't know what it was like to need more of Christ to get through each day. While on that trip our dependence on God became a neccessity that launched us to the next level in our walk with Him. God knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish on this trip and I was blessed to be present to watch God work. Many physical needs were met but even more important than that, many lives were changed for eternity as they invited Christ into their lives for the first time. I praise the Lord for his faithfulness. We have so much to give so as we enter the Christmas season this December 2006 let's remember what Christ has done for us through his life, death, and resurrection. As we think on that, let us be spurred on to action to reach those in our Jerusalem."

Once a year we encourage people to take a step of faith by making a "faith promise." This is a commitment between us and God where we indicate how much we desire to contribute to cross-cultural missions work in the course of one year. This commitment causes us to exercise faith in God's ability to meet our needs and enable us to fulfill our promise.
